Fibre Splicing Technicians & Contractors
LOCATION: Yatala, Gold Coast QLD
INDUSTRY: Telecommunications (Information & Communication Technology)
POSITION TYPE: Full time
RENUMERATION: $30 – $45 per hour
Qualifications & experience
- White Card
- Manual Drivers Licence
- Police Check
- NBN Enable
- Traffic Management & Implementation Level 2
- Knowledge of NBN & Telstra Network including build standards & specifications
- NBN Fibre Splicing Qualifications
- Experience working on MDU’s – Advantageous
Tasks & responsibilities
- Install, terminate, splice, and test NBN fibre optic cables and related equipment (Both DFN & LFN)
- Testing & Commissioning including Reading OTDR, Power/Light Source Meter & Traffic Identifier
- Cable hauling
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records of installations
- Ability to work in a team and as an Individual
- Adhere to Zero Harm Safety Procedures
